As Norma departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Norma. Though Norma may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oran B. Chapman and Gladys L. Chapman (Nelson); her husband William C. "Bill" Gilstrap; and her brother James N. Chapman. She is survived by: her daughters, Gaylene Layton (Daniel) of Greencastle, IN, Jo Ellen Brinegar (Kevin) of Heltonville and Sondra Blaschke (Richard) of Bedford. She is also survived by five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Day & Carter Mortuary (1133 Lincoln Ave, Bedford, IN 47421). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Church of Christ.
