She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Spencer Hawkins and Pearl Deckard Hawkins; her siblings, Opal, Olin, Oscar, Oliver and Robert; her grandmothers, Otha Eads, Ona Butcher and Oneida Starr Elkins; and her sister Olie Hawkins.
She is survived by: her niece Rosemary Robertson; her nephew Jerry W. Starr; and her children, Linda L. Tyree Courson, John L. Tyree, Steve Tyree (Sandy Rider) of Bedford and Bob Tyree (Teresa) of Florida. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
