She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Trogdon and Edith Trogdon (Cummings); her husband Ralph Mikels, Jr.; her siblings, Wayne, Wendell, George Trogdon, Mary Trodgon and Nora Todd; her grandchildren, Jamie Vaught and Ty Vaught; and her son-in-law Clayton Williams.

She is survived by: her children, Jody Hill (Wendell) of Bedford, Georgetta Vaught (Rick) of Bedford, Patti Lane (Greg) of Bedford, Steve Mikels (Donna) of Bedford and Ed Mikels (Dale Lynn) of Bedford; and her sister Martha Black of Bloomington. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

“Nellie was my Aunt. My Dad was Kenneth Mikels. He was Ralph Mikels' brother. My name is Mary (Mikels) Johnson. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's been years since I've seen Aunt Nellie, but she was always so sweet when I saw her. I hope you can all find peace and comfort in knowing that she is in a much better place. No more pain or heart ache for her. That is the way that I can get through the lost of my Mom and Dad.”
