We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2021, at the age of 93, Melvin McDonald of Bedford, Indiana, born in Paoli, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Heber McDonald and Grace Hooten McDonald; his daughter Shannon; his sister Juanita Cornwell; and his stepmother Fern Carter McDonald.

He is survived by: his wife Bonetta Nickell; his children, Phillip (Thelma), Linda (Chris) and Cheryl Felton Zionsville (Doug); his grandchildren, Josh, Wendy, Dusty McDonald, April Armstrong, Courtney Hudson, Cassandra Stevning, Jordan Frey, Jonathan Frey, Taylor, David and Jake Felton; and his nephew Melvin "Popeye" McDonald.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Melvin's name to Southern Care Hospice in Bloomington, 1923 Liberty Drive Bloomington Indiana 47403.
