We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2025, at the age of 87, Marta Jo Kern of Bedford, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Marta Jo has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Audrey Holmes (Lackey) and Lee Holmes; her husband Olin Kern; and her brother-in-law Larry Will. She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Julie Waldo (Brian) of Bedford and Jayma Ambrose (Ken) of Aptos, CA.; her grandchildren, Sarah Waldo (Professor Emanuel) and Dr. Benjamin Waldo (Rachel) of Crofton, MD; her great grandchildren, David and Griffin; and her sisters, Bonnie Bertram (Mick) of Fort Branch, IN and Connie Will of Bedford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Day & Carter Mortuary (1133 Lincoln Ave, Bedford, IN 47421).
