She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Victor Edwards and Mary Edwards (White); her sons, Roberts Brass and Brian C. Tackett of Mitchell; her grandson Lincoln O'Brian Tackett (Abi) of Orleans; her great grandchild Hank O'Brian Tackett; her stepfather John Jackson; her siblings, Pearl Acton, Paul P. "Pete" Edwards and George C. "CeCe" Edwards; and her grandson Willard Eugene Tackett II. She was also cherished by two nieces and one nephew.

“I am a resident of Bliss Place, where I knew Lucille. She was a special person to me. She liked to have me sit and visit with her. She liked to have her back and shoulders rubbed. I loved the way her face lit up when a musical group would play and sing the song, Lucille. How ironic that they both left this world at nearly the same time. They are probably in Heaven singing that song. God bless you, Lucille”
