She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Chastain and Etta Chastain (Freed); her spouse Paul Shipman; and her daughter Terrilou Shipman Nation. She is survived by: her son-in-law Walter L. Nation of Bedford; her grandchildren, Mikki McDonald (Victor) of Indianapolis and Jeremy Nation (Rebecca) of Bloomington; and her sister-in-law Myra Shipman of Bedford. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
