He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Ada Tirey (Smith); his siblings, Ella Pearl Allbright (Walt), Mary Jane Tirey, John Henry Tirey (Mary Alice), Alvy Tirey (Mildred), Wayne Tirey (Charlotte), Phyllis Tucker (Robert) and Dee Grubb (Robert); and his sister-in-law Roberta Tirey.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Tirey of Bedford; his children, Susan L. Eads (Daren) of Bloomington, J. Lynn Middleton (Trent) of New Albany and Bret Tirey of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Eric Eads (Gabbie), Cheyenne Middleton, Dakota Middleton, Hope Hershey (Matthew) and Luke Balaban (Hannah); his siblings, Don Tirey (Marilyn) of Oolitic, Bobby Tirey (Pam) of Oolitic and Rhea Dawn Anderson (late Monte) of Bedford; and his sister-in-law Patty Jo Tirey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.
