He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Brooking and Clara Brooking (Burford); his former wife Reba Brooking (Brown); his granddaughters, Isabelle and Olivia Brooking; and his siblings, Gladys Brooking, Richard Brooking and Mary Lou Brazzel.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Moore of Bedford; his sons, Jason Brooking (Jodie) of Worthington and Kyle Brooking (Danielle) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Stewart, Karrick and Leilani Brooking; his stepdaughter Elizabeth Gray (Donnie Hut); his stepgrandchildren, Derrick, Morgan Ann and Kollin Gray; and his brothers, Carl Brooking (Phyllis), Robert Brooking (Sue), Gary Brooking (Suzie) and Louis Brooking (Paula). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the White River Humane Society.
