He was predeceased by: his father Michael Murphy; and his son Sheldon Gearlds. He is survived by: his mother Loretta "Sue" Murphy (Raines) of Bedford; his children, Micah Murphy (Danielle) of Shoals and Alyssa Hildum of Columbus; his grandson Tanner Murphy of Shoals; his siblings, Jackie Murphy of Bedford and Scott Murphy of Bedford; and his nephew Seamus Murphy of Bedford.
