She is survived by: her husband Merlin Root; her children, Tonya Rensi and Kamila Binkley; her sons-in-law, Ed Rensi and Craig Binkley; her grandson Anthony Stevens (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Caroline Rensi, Kiera Binkley and Allison Rensi; and her brother Dr. Robert Erwin (Brenda).
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to Riley Hospital for Children, the Shriner's Hospital or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
