He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Speer and Della Lorraine Hoopingarner-Speer (Levi); and his siblings, Della Hilderbrand, Bob Hoopingarner, Charles Hoopingarner and Carolyn Speer.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jennifer East (Jody) of Bedford, Joey Speer of Bedford, Kayla Barger (Arron) of Bedford and Rebecca Chase of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Alyssa Davis (Tyler) of Bedford, Makenzie Warner (Tyler) of Bedford, Hannah Chase of Bedford, Jaden of Bedford, Hailee East of Bedford, Parker of Bedford, Jackson of Bedford, Paisley Speer of Bedford, Bentley of Bedford and Macy Barger of Bedford; his great grandchildren, Dayson, Daxton and Dawson Davis; and his siblings, Jim Hoopingarner of Indianapolis and Sharon Francis (Darlene) of Bedford.
