He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Goins and Francis Goins (Reynolds); and his brother Donnie Wayne Goins. He is survived by: his children, Anon Goins (Crystal) of Mitchell, Audrey Goins of Bedford, Susan Hammond (Gary) of Bedford and Scott Hatfield of Bedford; his sisters, Darlene Lewis (James) of Owensburg, Sheila Goins McDowell of Owensburg and Sondra Harbstreit (Brent) of Cypress, Texas; his grandchildren, Dakota, Micah, Ellison and Harrison; his aunts, Hazel Silvers of Oolitic and Brenda Sue Hubbard of Kentucky; and his girlfriend Janice Hedrick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
