He was predeceased by: his parents, Estill Deaton and Mary Deaton (Brewer). He is survived by: his wife Clara Guthrie (Guthrie); his sons, William Lee Deaton (Peggy) of Leesville and Larry Eugene Deaton (Megan) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Jerry, Kelsey, Kaylee, Brevin and Izzy; and his brothers, Billy Deaton (Jessee) and Chester Deaton.
