He was predeceased by: his parents, John Emanuel and Orpha Thelma Bergdoll (Weser); his wife Joyce R. Lindsey; his children, J. Steven, Ginger Lee Bergdoll Ragsdale and Peggy Ann Bergdoll Hanners; and his siblings, John Franklin Bergdoll and Mary Lu Bergdoll Hanson.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Shane R. Baron Caudill (Heather) of Bloomington, Shannon Leigh Sowder (Scott) of Bloomington, Brandy Lynn Marlow (Eddie) of Virginia, Julie Ann Hanners of Stinesville, Christine Bergdoll of Vietnam and Gregory M. Bergdoll (Sarah) of California; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Bergdoll, Elijah R. Baron Caudill and Sydney Baron Caudill.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family may consider memorial contributions be made to Leesville United Methodist Church or the Leesville Cemetery.
