He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Voigtschild and Ethel Voigtschild (Perry); his sister Evelyn Lakes; and his brother-in-law Thomas Lakes. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Cahill; his sons, Brian Voigtschild (Andrea) and Brent Voigtschild (Kathy); his grandchildren, Amber Voigtschild, Quentin Voigtschild, Claire Voigtschild, Paige Voigtschild, Benjamin Voigtschild, Kayla Simmerman, Mahala Jarrard-Voigtschild, Mariah Moody and Victoria George-Voigtschild; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Enochs, Malachi Enochs, Jaxson Boone, Sawyer Mitchell, Luke Rodriguez and Elias Nixon.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Free Methodist (630 R St, Bedford, IN 47421). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:25 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Green Hill Cemetery (1202 18th St, Bedford, IN 47421). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Solutions Center, Gillen Post 33.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jack be made to the Life Food Pantry or Hope Resource Center, both in Bedford.
