He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther M. Mitchell and Lillie Mitchell (Cobb-Lawson); his siblings, William Jack Mitchell, Wilma J. Skeen (Jim) and E. Pauline Sheeks (Bill); and his pet Gigi.
He is survived by: his wife Joan D. Mitchell of Bedford; his children, Linda S. Turney (Scott) and David L. Mitchell (Pattie); his stepchildren, Tracy M. Tincher and Tyrus S. Mathews (Deedra); his grandchildren, Jared S. Turney (Lindsey), Alyson N. Trout (Randall), Ryan D. Mitchell, Megan M. Leavitt (Nick) and Kelly M. Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Ryan Trout, Porter Turney, Banks Turney, Max Leavitt, Mia Leavitt and Oakley Turney; his stepgrandchildren, Evan W. Folk (Maurica), Levi M. Stidam, Maebree M. Tincher, Jarrid W. Mathews (Elizabeth) and Justin Mathews (Carrie); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Braxten W. Folk, Brantley Folk, Aubrey Mathews, Lincoln Mathews, Magnolia Mathews and Iris Mathews. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, Paul's family asks that contributions be considered to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or the White River Humane Society.
