He is survived by: his children, Theresa Abel of Mitchell, Bryan Abel (Carla) of Medora and Matthew Abel of Bedford; his siblings, Kathy Cornwall of Sacramento, CA, Kay Pruett of Bedford, Garrett "Wayne" Abel of Calvert City, KY, David Abel of Bedford and Terry Abel of Harrodsburg; and his grandchildren, Jered Abel, Jordan Abel, Bricyn Abel, Brandyn Abel and Jessica Abel. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
