He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Cook and Edna Cook (Brown); his former spouse Lovie Tincher; his siblings, Ruth Ratliff, Rachel Garrison and Henry O. Cook; and his granddaughter Tori Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Whetsel of Bedford; his children, Judy Ann Banks (Tim) of Buddha, Beverly Wade (Gary) of Williams, James Earl Cook of Bedford and Bobby Cook (Carrie) of Bedford; his stepdaughter Sherri Aaron of Anderson, IN; his grandchildren, Bryan Banks of Bedford, Nathaniel Banks of Mitchell, Zack Banks of Buddha, Stephen Davis of Mitchell, Jayden Cook of Bedford and Brittany Dalton of Bedford; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Liam Banks and Lathan Dalton; and his sister Virginia Hill (Larry) of Shelbyville.
