He was predeceased by: his parents, William Virgil Barnes and Myrtle Stokes Barnes. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Lynn; his close friends, Jerry Mullis, Lowell Dawson and Jim Hoffman; his wife Mary Lou of Maysville, KY; his daughters, Lynn Endris (Vince) and Lisa Hoskins (Roger); and his sister Ola Mae Lamb. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren.
Before the coronavirus hit, he and his 3 special friends, Jerry Mullis, Lowell Dawson and Jim Hoffman, played checkers and chess every Thursday.
