She was predeceased by: her parents, James Burks and Inez Morgan (East); her husband James Atkinson; her siblings, Angela Morgan and Jesse Harlen; and her granddaughter Morgan Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Price (Leon), Dennis Hughes (Sonmi), Christopher Hughes (Candy), John Hughes (Mia), Nicholas "Charles" Hughes (Stacy) and Stephanie Hughes; her grandchildren, Anthony, Ahna, Leah, Tiffanie, Rebecca, Nicholas II, Gracie, Eric, Nathan and Dusty; and her great grandchildren, Hadley, Archer, Breckin, Addison Jo, Gage, Christopher, Isabella, Dwayne of Dominic, JJ, Noah, Kash, Bo, Blaze and Hallie.
