It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrol Eugene Mathis of Bedford, Indiana, who passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor E. Mathis and Alberta Mathis (Myers); his son Brian Eugene Mathis; and his sister Marie Borden. He is survived by: his wife Joan Lee Bush of Bedford; his children, Cathy Jo Root (John) of Salem and Todd Steven Mathis (Mary) of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Lori McIntosh (Brandon), Jason Mathis (Sarah), Amanda Loy (Robert), Amy Ho (Shawyn) and Rochelle Mathis; his great grandchildren, Adalynn McIntosh, Jaxon McIntosh, Brayden Loy, Ava Loy, Layla Mathis and Sawyer Mathis; and his siblings, Nancy Bramer of Clarksville, Max Mathis, Howard Mathis, June Hudson and Willa Faris.
