With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl R. Gootee of Bedford, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on April 28, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Gootee and Marie Gootee (Thomas); his son Eric Gootee; and his brothers, Frank and Paul Gootee.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Abel of Bedford; his children, Scott Gootee (Vanessa) of Gulf Breeze, FL and Emily Eagan of Bedford; his daughter-in-law Bethany Godsey-Gootee of Bedford; his grandchildren, Dillon Eagan, Katlyn Eagan, Marissa Gootee, Ashlyn Eagan, Amanda Gootee, Wilder Gootee, River Gootee and Lexi Gootee; and his siblings, Don Gootee of Wyoming, Joe Gootee (Liz) of Kentucky, Marian Gootee of Indiana, Helen Gootee of Indiana, Bob Gootee (Anita) of Florida and Greg Gootee of Kentucky.
