He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph G. Wright and Lillie Mariea Wright (Mosier); his brothers, Gerald and Ora Lee (Sam); and his pets, Tasha and Ebony.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Mitchell of Bedford; his children, Buford S. Wright, Jr. (Donna) of Eureka, Monty D. Wright (Nikki) of Fayetteville and Michelle Hudson of Springville; his grandson Branson Hudson; his stepsiblings, Tom Hudson and Debra Butler; his half-brothers, Alan Wright and Dwayne Wright; and his pet Polly.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department or the White River Humane Society.
