Austin Pritchett Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Austin Pritchett of Bedford, Indiana, who passed away on May 1, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery A. Pritchett and Edna Yeskie Pritchett; his former wife Marilyn Sue Howell; his wife Mary Catherine Patton Darcus; his daughters, Lessa Diane and Jana Lynett Pritchett; and his brother-in-law Larry McCart.

He is survived by: his children, Aaron Pritchett (Julie) and Kristin Messmore (Steve); his grandchildren, Benjamin Pritchett, Mckenzie Messmore and Austin Messmore; his sister Judy McCart; and his nieces and nephews, Terri Kimbley (Steve), Tracy Lee (David), Scott McCart (Shalon) and David McCart (Meleah).

In lieu of flowers and to honor the legacy of Pete, the family requests memorial contributions to the West Washington Lady Senators Basketball Team where his daughter and granddaughter coach. These donations can be made at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
