She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Long and Myrtle Long (Adams); her husband Arthur Sykes; her sons, Gregory Sykes and Danny Sykes; and her siblings, Dale Long, Harry Bryant, Violet Ballard, Janet Gomes and Adele Sutherland.
She is survived by: her children, Toby Sykes of Bedford and Candace Sykes of Bedford. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
