We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2024, at the age of 90, William M. Payne of Batesville, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint William leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Payne and Julia; his wife Evelyn Barnhill; and his son Steve Payne. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Schuerman (John) of Batesville, Susie Payne (Rich Able) of Indianapolis and Mike Payne of Indianapolis; his daughter-in-law Margie Payne of Indianapolis; and his brother James Heaney (Sue) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
