It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene G. Shane of Batesville, Indiana, who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Voegele and Joseph Voegele; her husband Walter "Dikes" Shane; and her siblings, Mary Leinberger, Virginia Suding, Peter, Donald, Joseph, Eugene, Austin, John, Rev. Fritz, Hugo, Charles and Walter Voegele.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Swanson (Ken), Tom (Wilma) of Batesville, Dan (Millie) of Batesville, Guy (Becky) of Batesville and Steve Shane (Sheryl) of Batesville; and her brother Tom Voegele of Milroy, Indiana. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
