We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2024, at the age of 80, Gayle L. Sarringhaus of Batesville, Indiana, born in Greensburg, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Sarringhaus (Wirth) and Howard Sarringhaus; his brother Larry Sarringhaus; his children, Brent Sarringhaus and Nina Kay; and his brother-in-law Blair "Bob" Shinn.
He is survived by: his wife LaVonne Lillian Meyer of Batesville; his grandchildren, Brenna Sarringhaus (Justin Piper) and Kurt Sarringhaus (Abbey); his great grandchild Waylon; his daughter Rhonda Leek (Randy); his grandchildren, Andrew Leek (Autumn) and Rachel Uttley (Alex); his son Jason Sarringhaus; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn (MJ), Lily and Lydia; his son Daren Sarringhaus (Nikki); his grandchildren, Alex, Mikayla, Quinten and Payten; his son Elton Sarringhaus (Shannon); his grandchildren, Grace (Brandon), Luke and Maci; his daughter Danette Oswald; his grandchildren, Samuel and McKenzie; his son Clint Sarringhaus (Alina); his grandsons, Ayden and Camdyn; his daughter Lindsey Hornberger (Marty); his grandchildren, Karlee, Mya, Carson, Leland and Patience Smith (Dawson); his great grandchildren, Neveah and Blair; his daughter Junelle Welborn (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Jaxon, Jadyn, Johnathan and Jordyn; his sisters, Darlene Pettit (Ritche), Diane Krumme (Ron) and Peggy Shinn; and his sister-in-law Bertha Sarringhaus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Meyers Funeral Home (1150 State Rd 46, Batesville, IN 47006). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's United Church of Christ (300 N Huntersville Rd, Batesville, IN 47006).
