He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Jr. Brandes and Clara Brandes. He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean; his children, Jason Brandes (Angela), Katie Brandes, Doug Fredrick and Lisa Reames (David); his grandchildren, Lucas, Marcus, Allison, Ovie and Hazel; and his siblings, Linden Brandes, Ralph Brandes III and Greg Brandes. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given in memory to the American Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Heart Association c/o the funeral home.
