He was predeceased by: his parents, Maury Avery and Hattie Avery (Parr); his son Timothy Avery; and his sister Anita Ippilito. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shull; his children, Tammy Dietz (Bill) of Batesville and Jeff Avery (Quinetta) of Lebanon, IN; his grandchildren, Karen Smith (Joshua), Melissa Ashpaugh and Bradon Beausoleil; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Cameron Smith, Hope Ashpaugh, Heather Ashpaugh, Avery Ashpaugh and Zachary Ashpaugh.
