He was predeceased by: his sister Sally Stepp. He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, Sue Schimmel Ward (Andy) and Eric Thomas Schimmel (Deb); his grandchildren, Alice Ward Rehm (Joel), Grace Ward (David), Laura Schimmel, Kieran Schimmel and Corey Schimmel; and his great grandchildren, Stella, Harper, Leah and Magnolia.
