He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer I. LaFary and Inez H. LaFary (Gerholdt); and his siblings, Mary Seitz, John, Richard and Joe LaFary.
He is survived by: his wife Linda LaFary (Reed); his daughter Donna Bryant (Dan) of Lady Lake, FL; his grandchildren, Darrin Bryant (Mia) of Paragon and Briana Cooley (Matthew) of Paragon; and his sisters, Becky Pierce of Nineveh, Dorothy Brown of Whiteland and Jean Blackwell of Franklin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
