She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew J. Mathis and Myrtle Lee Mathis Akins (Henson); her husband John J. Scott; and her siblings, Wiley Fugate, Olen Sweeney, Jack Sweeney and Lola Mae Bell.

She is survived by: her son-in-law J. David Perry; and her daughters, Jonnie F. Perry (David) of Avon and Bonnie L. Cox (Gary) of Medford, Oregon.. She is also survived by loving mother to her two daughters.
