We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2025, at the age of 93, Selma J. Engle of Avon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clury Spears and Letha Spears (Wells); her husband Layton Engle; her son Ron Spears; her son-in-law Abe Johnson; and her siblings, Kenneth Spears, Franklin Spears, Arnold Spears, Billy Spears, Ocie Keen, Lucille Capps, Myrtle Rowe, Inis Severe, Ella Severe and Lena Gray.

She is survived by: her children, Hilda Johnson, Don Spears (Nila), Selma "Tina" Laiche (Genji Sakurai), Sheila Taylor (Sam) and Anthony Joseph Berry (Pam); and her sister Lyda Jones. She is also survived by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
