It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Carter of Avon, Indiana, born in New Castle, Virginia, who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Max" Hancock and Lucille Hancock; her sisters, Ann and Diane Hancock; and her mother-in-law Ruby Carter.

She is survived by: her husband William Carter; her daughters, Kristi (Robb) and Julie (Jon); her grandchildren, Rylan, Reagan, William and Morgan; and her siblings, J. Max Hancock, Jr., Maxine Hall and Jane Hancock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one of the following organizations: Life's Journey of Avon; Treasure Coast Hospice of Stuart, Florida; or the Alzheimer's Society.
