She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Fredrich and Mary Christine Schwier Ortel; her brother Walt; her sons, Randy (Kathy) of West Lafayette, David of Indianapolis, Steve (LaDonna) of Indianapolis and Gary (Tresa) of Indianapolis; her siblings, Olga Tatum, Esther Radun and Walter Ortel; her husband Otto Strakis; her grandchildren, Wendy Strakis Petersen (Ben), Jonathan Strakis (April), Joshua Strakis (Justine), Katie Strakis, Jacob Strakis, Joseph Strakis (Marissa), Jesse Strakis, Andy Strakis (Kayleigh) and Becca Strakis Hernandez (Cristian); and her great grandchildren, Clayton, Ava, Maddox, Harper, Diana, Lydia, Conner and Henry.
