She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hendricks Emily and Oakalear Emerson Emily; her husband John Charles "Jack" Prewitt; her daughters, Brenda Prewitt and Vivian Jones; and her brothers, Jackie Emily and William "Bud" Emily.

She is survived by: her children, Marsha Sparks, John Prewitt Jr. (Sherry), James Prewitt Sr. (Melissa) and Terry Prewitt Sr. (Julia Corwin); and her sister Martha Kay Moss. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be written to Christian Jewish Foundation.
