She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Hicks and Rumsey Hicks; her husband Gene Lynwood Calvert; and her sisters, Ruth Bandy, Hazel Camden and June Reavis.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine and Barry; her daughter-in-law Teressa Calvert of Covington, VA; her daughter Cindy; her son-in-law John Modafferi of Brownsburg, IN; her grandchildren, Catherine V. Helderman (Mike), Valeri Jean Abbott (Chris) and Ethan Chase Calvert; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Lynn Abbott and Sophia Catherine Abbott.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her memory to Faith Baptist Church, 311 Jackson Drive, Covington VA.
