He was predeceased by: his father John Cary; and his sister Mary Latta. He is survived by: his mother Theresa Cary (Meyer) of Avilla; his sister Janet Bevis (Rob) of Charlotte; his nephews, Jonathon Latta, Owen Latta, Jacob Bevis and Aaron Bevis; his close friend Gina Grasso; and his brother-in-law Phillip Latta, Jr..
