She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wayne Tonkel and Jean Tonkel Rhodes (Davis); her son Robert Kent VanGorder; her stepfather Donald Charles Rhodes; her husband Kent VanGorder; her sister Sally; her brother-in-law John Huelsenbeck; and her parents-in-law, Dorothy VanGorder and Robert.
She is survived by: her son David (Shelly VanGorder); her grandchildren, Kimberlee (Dustin Schemerhorn), Ethan (Brianne VanGorder), Jacob VanGorder (Dylen Fox) of Avilla, Rickey (Brittany Duty) and Amanda Duty of Avilla; her great grandchildren, Owen Schemerhorn, Addyson Duty, Finn VanGorder and Lucas Fornell; and her brothers, Terry (Robin Tonkel) and Michael Haines of Kendallville.
