She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Lee Collins and Arlene Josephine Bollinger (Crowe); her husband Lewis Franklin Aker; and her sisters, Jane Leas and Mary Forker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda (Clem Slone), Mary Beth (Randy Chilcote), Alice Aker of Kendallville and Angie Aker (Michael Geyman); her stepchildren, Reuben (Marie Aker), Anella Harmeyer of Fort Wayne, Ann Glass of Roanoke and Frank Aker of Fort Wayne; and her brother Wyman (Wilma Collins).
