He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. and Mary E. Riecke (Maloney). He is survived by: his wife Catherine Riecke (Leffers) of Avilla; and his children, Chris Ott (Larry), Geralyn Lash Ross, Mary Jo Dice (Tim), Kathy Fought (Jed), Jackie Bell, Dan Riecke (Sally), Dave Riecke (Jenny), Jim Riecke (Linda), Dean Riecke (Jody) and Jeff Riecke (Lori). He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandsons.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Noble County 4-H.
