She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon "Wimp" Lough; and her children-in-law, Dennis Fieber and Linda Lough. She is survived by: her children, Mike Lough of St Petersburg, Tom Lough of Monroeville and Nancy Lough (Marian Thibeau) of Albion; her sister Virginia "Ginny" Roberts of Auburn; her grandson Evan Lough of Monroeville; and her sister-in-law Ellen Jane Luellen of Fort Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joan's memory may be made to Noble County Humane Society.
