He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman "Resy" and WIlma Schmenk (Meyer); his daughter Christine Ellert; and his brother Jon Schmenk. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ross; his stepchildren, Jordan Priest (Carrie), Christopher Priest, Jeffery Priest (Angela) and Amy Hartman; his grandchildren, Jason Ellert, Andrew Bowman, Becca Bowman and Ashley Bowman; and his sister Judy Grocock (Ray) of Avilla.
Memorial contributions in Jim's memory may be directed to the St. Mary's Church Improvement Fund.
