He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schuman and Flossie Schuman (Harris); his wife Louise Anderson; and his brothers, Melvin and Errol.
He is survived by: his children, Hal Jr. Schuman (Sandra) of Kendallville, John Schuman (Jaynellen) of Avilla, Jennie Allen (Bob) of Wawaka, Joy Klinger (Roger) of Convoy and Jackie Stanley (Radley) of Montpelier, Ohio.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to a local animal shelter of the donor's choice.
