We bid farewell to Edna Maria Adele Heathers of Avilla, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2025 at the age of 105. Edna Maria Adele touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman F. Maaske and Adele D. Maaske (Stuhr); her husband Jacob Heathers; her daughter Linnea DePew; her son-in-law Robert DePew; her granddaughter Lee Ann DePew; her grandsons-in-law, Steve Fuhrman and Sid Carty Jr.; and her siblings, Alice Heller, Ernest Maaske, Emmett Maaske and Arlan Maaske.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Robin Fuhrman of Avilla, Lori Bowman of Peoria and Renee Carty of Indianapolis; her great grandchildren, Heidi Spencer (Wes), Nick Fuhrman (Christine), Philip Bowman (Carissa Daly), Elizabeth Wetzel (Tyler), Faith Moser (Alex), Jakeb Bowman, Derek Carty (Jessica), Arlan Carty and Morgan Carty; and her great great grandchildren, Kyli Spencer, Myah Spencer, Penelope Spencer, Gage Spencer, Alyssa Fuhrman, Mallory Fuhrman, Bradley Fuhrman and Maisie Moser.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Young Family Funeral Home (222 S State St, Kendallville, IN 46755). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
