He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Benjamin and Lestie Martha Hamlin (Pafford); his wife Maxine J. Friskney; his son Michael Hamlin; and his siblings, Frances Lafferty, Oneita Bailey, John Hamlin, Walter Hamlin and Russell Hamlin.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Hall (George) of Auburn, Craig Hamlin (Cheryl) of Kendallville, Roger Hamlin of Fort Wayne and Ritchie Hamlin (Dawn) of Corunna; his daughter-in-law Mary Hamlin of Plainfield; his grandchildren, Scott Hamlin (Meghan), Julie Hamlin Lee (Mike), Jenny Hall Hartman (Dan), Christina Hall Pranger (Shane), Marcus Hamlin, Ben Hamlin, Matthew Hamlin, Katie Hamlin, Laura Hall, Chris Hamlin, Jesse Hamlin and Erin Hamlin; and his siblings, June Stackhouse of Kendallville, Beatrice Douglas of Auburn, Beulah Morr of Fort Wayne and Argile Hamlin (Marilyn) of Kendallville. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Honor Flight Northeast Indiana or the Alzheimer's Association.
