She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond Bowling and Nancy Bowling; and her husband Larry D. Sims. She is survived by: her son Mike; her daughter-in-law Maxine Sims; her grandchildren, Michael C. E. (Heather) and Kaitlyn E. M. Sims; and her great grandchild Oliver Sims. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Collins Funeral Home (465 W McClain Ave, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of memorial gifts, her family suggests memorial contributions be given in Louella's name to the Scottsburg High School Alumni Association.
