He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Edward and Karen Barrett; and his sister Terri Scott. He is survived by: his wife Lola; his daughter Stephanie Manthei (Ryan) of Austin, Indiana.; his siblings, Bryan Scott (Becky) of Lexington, Dwayne Scott (Theresa) of Austin, Joel Barrett, Jr. of Austin, Indiana and Sheryl Barrett of Austin, Indiana; his brothers-in-law, Jack White (Marcey) and Jonathan White (Hope); and his mother-in-law Lillie White. He is also survived by 5 nephews and 7 nieces.
